Irvine seeing fewer home price reductions

pricereducedPrice cuts on Irvine home listings dropped substantially in September, according to real estate web site Trulia.com.

The site shows 101 price cuts last month, a marked decrease from 175 price cuts in August and 136 price reductions in July.

September’s price cuts ranged from a $700,000 discount on a Shady Canyon lot to a $1,000 reduction on a Turtle Rock condo.

    While the number of home price reductions has decreased, hasn’t the number of homes on the market also decreased as well?

    What is the change in the percentage of Irvine homes that have seen home price reductions, and what is the change in the average percentage of the home price reduction?
